Private Events
Queer cinema has long documented lives, desires, and struggles that were ignored, censored, or erased by mainstream institutions. These films capture not only artistic expression, but also social histories- records of how queer communities have survived, loved, organised, and imagined futures in different political and cultural moments. Without intentional archiving, many of these works risk being lost to time. Preserving queer films ensures that future generations can access their histories, learn from past movements, and see themselves reflected in stories that affirm queer existence.
We archive these films with us because queer histories cannot be left at the mercy of our fading memories. By keeping these works with us, we ensure they are contextualized with care, shared ethically, and preserved according to the values of the communities they come from. Archiving with us is not just about storage; it is about stewardship, collective memory, and continuity. It is a commitment to honoring queer voices on their own terms and ensuring that our stories remain accessible, protected, and alive.
