Submissions
Filmmakers can submit their films to us primarily through FilmFreeway. When submitting, filmmakers should ensure that all required fields are completed, including a synopsis, credits, runtime, and screening format. Any relevant contextual information, such as the film’s relationship to queer history, community, or lived experience, is strongly encouraged, as it helps us better understand and care for the work during the archival process.
For those who prefer not to use FilmFreeway or do not have an account in the platform, submissions may also be made by emailing us directly. Email submissions should state ‘Film Submission’ as the subject and include a brief introduction, a synopsis of the film, runtime, year of completion, and a private screener link (such as Vimeo) with the password. Filmmakers should also include contact information and any specific archival preferences or access considerations. Large files should not be sent as attachments unless explicitly requested; links are preferred to ensure safe and efficient review.
